Founded in 2001, York Professionals' vision is for York to be recognised as a world-leading centre for business and enterprise and for the professional services sector to be a leader in economic growth.

Almost two decades on, and the city is recognised as leading the region in many areas of business and technology, supported by a professional services sector that is stronger than ever. 

Clear priorities

Our priorities are clear: to deliver our vision, to ensure the very best representation of our city's professional services businesses and to be instrumental in steering the city and wider regional business agenda to help lead economic growth.

We do this by actively promoting the skills and expertise of professional services businesses in the city, by facilitating connections, conversations and relationships that increase business opportunities for our members, and by working with key partners to give our members access to the right people at the right level. 

A strong membership

We have a 100+ membership of like-minded people and businesses, all with a growth mindset and a commitment to championing professional services in York. We will continue to build a strong and representative membership, to promote the contribution of professional services to enterprise, to be a strong voice for our membership and to play a pivotal role in York's economic strategy.

A varied events programme

We are committed to delivering an interesting and varied annual programme of events that promote enterprise in the city and provide opportunities for our members to build their networks. From traditional networking breakfasts every quarter to behind the scenes tours of some of York's most iconic businesses and landmarks and learning opportunities on topics flagged to us by our members, we aim to offer something for everyone at every level within your business. 

Learning & development opportunities

We are incredibly fortunate to have an incredible range and depth of knowledge, skills, experience and expertise here in York. We see part of our role as being to facilitate opportunities for our members to tap into that knowledge, to help them build their skills and those of the people in their teams. That's one reason why York Professionals membership is a company-wide membership. When you join us, anyone from your team can come to events, which means you can decide who in your team will benefit most from attending different events throughout the year.
