Fulprint

Fulprint began in 1985 by two University of York graduates, in Fulford. We changed from a partnership to a limited company in September 2000. The business moved to newly refurbished premises off Heslington Road in April 2002. We acquired a related business in April 2004 which added cutting, creasing and laminating to complement our litho and digital printing.

Grays Court

Grays Court York is possibly the oldest continuously occupied house in the United Kingdom. Dating back in part to 1080 and commissioned by the first Norman Archbishop of York to provide the official residence for the Treasurers of York Minster, the house has an unrivalled history.

The house was surrendered to the Crown on 26 May 1547 and the last of the mediaeval Treasurers, William Clyff, resigned. The first post-Reformation owner was Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset. He was given the house in 1547 by King Edward VI, the son of King Henry VIII.

In 2005 the Dean & Chapter of York Minster decided to sell Grays Court. The building had become somewhat neglected and had an institutional feel. John & Helen immediately recognised the potential to breathe new life into the house as an exclusive retreat for discerning visitors.

Middlethorpe Hall & Spa

Middlethorpe Hall is a William and Mary country house, built in 1699 of mellow red brick with limestone dressings, for Thomas Barlow, a master cutler from Sheffield. It was bought in the 1980s and reopened as a luxury hotel, Restaurant and Spa in 1984, rescued from decay, caringly and lovingly restored by Historic House Hotels. In September 2008, Middlethorpe Hall and the other two Historic House Hotels became the inalienable property of the National Trust by donation, with all profits benefiting the houses and the charity.

The restoration, conservation and conversion into a country house hotel has been carried out to exacting and historically accurate standards. It has been elegantly decorated in the manner of the 18th Century and furnished with antiques and fine paintings, so that its look and ambiance is that of a well-kept, well-furnished private manor house rather than a 29 bedroom Hotel (ten rooms and suites in the house, and nineteen in the adjacent 18th Century courtyard).

The 20 acres of manicured gardens and parkland which surround Middlethorpe Hall are also the result of a transformation - from a rose bed and nettles to a parterre that now includes a fragrant rose garden, intriguing walled garden and romantic meadow which leads to a lake surrounded by beautiful specimen trees. There is also a ha'ha.

Middlethorpe Hall is renowned for its imaginative cuisine and its panelled dining rooms which overlook the manicured gardens. It also boasts a Health and Fitness Spa built behind the handsome façade of two listed Edwardian cottages. This offers guests a range of facilities from Decléor, ESPA and Jessica treatments with trained therapists to a splendid swimming pool, sauna and gymnasium.

Middlethorpe Hall, like its sister hotels Hartwell House in Aylesbury and Bodysgallen Hall near Llandudno, has achieved a graceful transition from country house to first-class hotel without losing its character. Indeed, Historic House Hotels are now the yardstick by which others must be judged.

Web Adventure Park

The Web brings together a variety of activities and attractions all on one convenient site to keep all the family, friends and groups entertained.

The Web Adventure Park is made up of the following attractions:

Creepy Crawlies – this much loved and award winning play park is well established and offers fun and entertainment for babies up to 12 year olds. Now twice the size with new slide and ball cannon area, giant inflatable, sports arena, and four lane Astra-slide. We also have soft clay areas, and large outdoor area with climbing forest, swings, sand-pit and role play areas.

The Animal Zone: Lots of cute animals for you to get to know and have the opportunity to pet. We have chipmunks, goats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, ponies and alpacas. Parties available. All parts of your entry to Creepy Crawlies.

Little Bugs Nursery: Run by experienced and qualified staff, this new nursery has funding for 3 year olds and space for 24 3-5 year olds. Children get to take part in a huge variety of activities as well as the use of Creepy Crawlies. Call 01904696003.

Wired – High Ropes Challenge. This challenging, continuous ropes course comprises of 22 elements/activities of varying difficulty, which are designed to test your nerve and ability. The course is 8 metres at the highest point and you are harnessed and secured by a belay and lanyard system, with qualified and experienced staff on hand should you need them. It is suitable for children 7 and over, right up to active pensioners.

York Civic Trust

York Civic Trust is a membership organisation, open to all who wish to protect and enhance York's architectural and cultural heritage, to champion good design and to advance the high place which York holds amongst the cities of the world. The Trust values its independence, but seeks to work collaboratively with the City of York Council and other organisations.

York Civic Trust is interested in good modern design which is sensitive in scale and context to its environment. They have found that these concerns are of wide interest across the generations in York. Buildings need to be good neighbours and to complement and ideally enhance those which are already there. The Trust have a powerful voice and in a city of such historic relevance it is important that there is a body to put forward an informed and independent view.

York College

York College have a Business Development Unit which supports local businesses with a range of training and development services including: Apprenticeships, Short Courses and Funded Training. York College engage with local businesses through a range of activities including: hosting open events, business breakfasts and sector focused events and attending local events / networks to engage with local businesses.

York Racecourse

York Racecourse is a horse racing venue in York, North Yorkshire, England. It is the third biggest racecourse in Britain in terms of total prize money offered, and second behind Ascot in prize money offered per meeting. It attracts around 350,000 racegoers per year and stages three of the UK's 36 annual Group 1 races – the Juddmonte International Stakes, the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks.
