York Professionals announces York City Football Club Foundation as Charity of the Year
YCFCF is the charity linked to York City Football Club and based at the LNER Community Stadium. Established in 2014 YCFCF supports the local community by providing sport and physical activity, educational, social and healthy lifestyle opportunities for all.
Elliot Rich, Chair, York Professionals, said: “With so many extremely worthy charities to choose from the decision was not an easy one. After careful consideration we are delighted to support York City Football Club Foundation at this year’s annual dinner, where we will raise as much money as we can. Last year we raised £3,500 for IDAS and we hope to at least match that amount this year. We’ll be holding a raffle and silent auction to fundraise for this extremely worthy cause.
Paula Stainton, Foundation Manager, York City Football Club Foundation, said: “We are over the moon to have been selected. Having been members of York Professionals over the last two years, York City Football Club Foundation is delighted to be a part of this community of like-minded professionals who want the best for our city.
“As a charity, we endeavour to always bring positivity, pride and passion to everything we do, through providing opportunities for physical activity, alongside social and lifestyle, and pathways for development, talent and competition for all ages. It’s amazing to have the support of this network in our mission to ‘Make A Difference’ in our community, using sport and physical activity as the tool to do so.”
